Dr. Chris Sullivan
Raised in Winnsboro, Louisiana, Chris was always around animals. As a kid, he raised calves on the bottle and had many horses, dogs, and cats. His parents, Jim and Wilma Sullivan were owners of Sullivan’s Feed and Western Store in Winnsboro.
Building on his love of animals, Chris worked for Gowan Veterinary Clinic throughout high school. He graduated from Winnsboro High School in 1986 and married Dee Mulkey Sullivan (also from Winnsboro) on July 30, 1988.
Chris graduated from Louisiana Tech University in 1991 with a degree in animal science. He graduated from LSU Veterinary School in 1994. Chris was awarded The Upjohn Award for Proficiency in Veterinary Clinical Medicine from LSU School of Veterinary Medicine on April 22, 1994, given to the student who has demonstrated outstanding diligence and proficiency in The Companion Animal Clinic.
Dr. Sullivan has individual memberships with the following organizations, with a goal of clinic accreditations: LVMA, NELVMA, AVMA, AAHA.

They enjoy LSU sports, RVing, and spending time with their children and grandchildren. Having adopted 2 of their children, they have a heart for adoption and for orphan ministry. The Sullivans encourage and support families who choose to adopt and foster children both nationally and internationally.

I have always loved animals and knew that one day I wanted to work with them.
I am married to Chris Rhymes & together we have 3 children. Our oldest child is Connor, a son, and we have identical twins girls named Aubree & Avery. Our children are all huge animal lovers. We have dogs, cats, horses, goats, and chickens. I am currently working as a Veterinary Technician, and I would say that my specialty is working with sending referrals and x-rays to LSU. I also fill in wherever I am needed. I enjoy my job to the fullest, but while not at work my hobbies include spending time with my family, hunting and fishing.
My name is Bethany Parks. I have worked for Sullivan Veterinary Clinic since August 2013. I am a veterinary technician. From a young age, I have had a deep love for animals, so when I was offered the job I was more than happy to accept the offer. I’m from small town Crowville, Louisiana. I have a very chunky Dachshund who was adopted from a shelter, a very spunky Boston terrier mix and a lovable cat who were both rescued as babies. One of my jobs around the clinic is to help place animals who are available for adoption to forever homes.
Considering all my personal animals are either rescued or from a shelter, I have a special place in my heart for the animals who are searching for a permanent home and I feel it’s my duty to help them out. My husbands name is Dakota Parks we share a very sassy little girl together named Kaylee Parks. Nothing would make me more proud as a parent than to see my daughter grow up and have the same love for animals that I have. While not at work my hobbies include spending time with my family and dogs, fishing, swimming, and riding four wheelers.
Large Animal Veterinary Technician
My name is Byron Hart. I have been a large animal vet tech for the past 16 years. Having been on a farm my whole life it’s definitely been a great place to work. I am married and have two sons and two grandchildren.
My name is Ginna Morris, I have worked on and off here at Sullivan Vet Clinic for going on 8 years. I love working here because I love working around animals. My bosses are excellent to work for and my co-workers are also wonderful to work with because they love animals as much as I do. I have a son named Dylan who is going to flight school to be an Ag Pilot, He also shares my love for animals.
When I’m not at work loving on all the sweet fur babies here I’m at home with my own horses, cows, pigs, goats cats, dogs, donkeys, chickens, turkeys and chinchilla. I often get in trouble for bringing home stray animals.
I was born and raised in this area and have been here pretty much my whole life so far. I first got into the veterinary industry just based on my love for animals and wanting to have a hand in helping them. Animals have always been my thing ever since I was little. I always wanted to work with animals and I’m so excited that I get a chance to do that. My favorite part about it is being able to help a sick or injured animal get back to a healthy state. Watching them get better day in and day out is something that I truly love.
Out of the clinic I own 7 dogs of my own.
I’ve always had a soft spot for animals; they provide joy and affection to everyone they meet. My favorite aspect of dealing with animals is observing the variety of personalities that each has. I knew I was in the correct field when I began engaging with animals other than my own. I always show the same amount of love and attention to each of them as I would my own pets. I’d like to advance my profession by attending vet school. Working with Dr. Chris and other Vets/Vet technicians has encouraged me to become a Vet!
